(08:31:52 PM) dkap: Indeed, GM sign is in place.
(08:31:59 PM) dkap: Delna said she, also would be a touch late.

(08:38:33 PM) dkap: We left Delna and Meig in the empty carnival.
(08:39:15 PM) Cagliostro: yes
(08:39:46 PM) dkap: The Count and the un-fatigue-poisoned Spot were heading back to daylight?
(08:42:27 PM) Spot: I'm just following the count
(08:42:37 PM) Spot: Apparently I'm heeling. lol
(08:42:49 PM) Raziel: Good boy, now sit.
(08:42:50 PM) Raziel: :P
(08:43:06 PM) Cagliostro: we have already moved back
(08:43:18 PM) Cagliostro: and are surveying the records of the assaults on vampires
(08:43:29 PM) dkap: And apparently I was two logs behind on the site.
(08:43:32 PM) dkap: That is now fixed.
(08:43:36 PM) Cagliostro: and have seen the few stills of a ghostly half-thing moving around
(08:43:41 PM) Cagliostro: and outpacing the defenses
(08:43:56 PM) dkap: Right, indeed.
(08:45:12 PM) dkap: And you were going to try some scrying, according to the logs.
(08:45:19 PM) Cagliostro: yes.
(08:45:22 PM) Cagliostro: I think I was.
(08:45:48 PM) Cagliostro: how plausible is blowback from scrying?
(08:45:55 PM) Cagliostro: I am wondering whether I should go somewhere else to scry
(08:46:02 PM) Cagliostro: or whether I can pop up some wards and be fine
(08:46:08 PM) dkap: Blowback? As in someone following your path?
(08:46:10 PM) dkap: Very small.
(08:46:40 PM) dkap: Blowback, as in someone already local noticing that a major working is going on? Larger, but you are subtle in your ways.
(08:47:01 PM) dkap: And you can set up honey-pots, fairly easily.
(08:47:19 PM) Cagliostro: and also blowback as in things literally blowing up around me
(08:47:26 PM) Cagliostro: sure, a honeypot sounds reasonable
(08:48:34 PM) dkap: Things blowing up around you? That would have nothing to do with your scrying, no matter how you cut it.
(08:48:50 PM) dkap: It's much more likely that you would go crazy from what you saw, than have a physical effect from it.
(08:48:56 PM) dkap: Remember your last scryer?
(08:49:10 PM) Cagliostro: yes, fair point.
(08:49:18 PM) Cagliostro: well, that is why I'm doing it myself
(08:49:26 PM) Cagliostro: and not trying to predict the future
(08:49:35 PM) Cagliostro: and if Caelin isn't involved, I should stay sane
(08:49:44 PM) dkap: Indeed. Lookey-loo is better than "what may be."
(08:49:49 PM) dkap: *grin*
(08:50:00 PM) dkap: And he's not even here to hear you say that ... *grin*
(08:50:37 PM) Cagliostro: indeed. but somewhere, he still knows.
(08:50:46 PM) dkap: On the other hand, not knowing what the thing is, you don't necessarily know how to ward against it.
(08:50:49 PM) dkap: Oh, indeed, he does.
(08:50:50 PM) Cagliostro: so, set up a honeypot in an abandoned quarry somewhere that's under surveillance
(08:50:57 PM) Cagliostro: and then try to scry the thing all subtle-like
(08:51:05 PM) dkap: Are you going to include Spot as your watcher?
(08:51:16 PM) dkap: Or are you going to get someone else on the case?
(08:51:47 PM) Cagliostro: a spotter for me, you mean?
(08:51:53 PM) Cagliostro: I think Ammon might be a better choice
(08:52:08 PM) Cagliostro: but I will certainly perform the scrying around Spot
(08:52:28 PM) Spot: I am a theurge
(08:54:04 PM) Cagliostro: Ammon can see into the Umbra
(08:54:13 PM) Cagliostro: and Cagliostro doesn't know what a theurge is ;)
(08:54:29 PM) dkap: So theurge to comment is beyond you?
(08:54:58 PM) dkap: Sorry, it was a better pun out loud.
(08:55:07 PM) Cagliostro: I'll take your word for it.
(08:55:09 PM) Cagliostro: so, scry!
(08:55:33 PM) dkap: What objects are you using to aid you in this unfamiliar act?
(08:57:18 PM) Cagliostro: printouts of the images
(08:57:22 PM) dkap: Check.
(08:57:24 PM) Cagliostro: shards of the weapon collected earlier
(08:57:30 PM) dkap: Check.
(08:57:48 PM) Cagliostro: would blood spilled by the attacker work, or too closely bound to the guy it's from?
(08:58:03 PM) dkap: Probably too closely bound to the individual from whom the blood was spilled.
(08:58:07 PM) Cagliostro: hm.
(08:58:14 PM) Cagliostro: anyone have any ideas for a third focus?
(08:58:18 PM) dkap: But that might be a good place to start the trace.
(08:58:28 PM) Cagliostro: k, that gets us locatio
(08:58:44 PM) Cagliostro: we'll start with where Ammon was when the vampires were killed, since that's the most recent one.
(08:58:53 PM) dkap: And what are you bringing the images up on? Preferably something not directly connected to you ...
(08:59:17 PM) Cagliostro: probably conjuring them onto filmstock to save on development
(08:59:23 PM) Cagliostro: three different images, arranged in front
(08:59:40 PM) dkap: I mean the images you are going to scry.
(08:59:44 PM) Cagliostro: probably on some sort of rug arranged in the blood, but sturdy enough not to soak through.
(08:59:49 PM) Cagliostro: oh, fair point.
(09:00:09 PM) Cagliostro: I have tried to use the philosopher's stone as a scrying device before and it's rubbish, yes?
(09:00:31 PM) dkap: Well ... it would also overshadow everything you see with yourself.
(09:01:31 PM) Cagliostro: hm.
(09:01:44 PM) Cagliostro: scrying pool of water? or crystal ball?
(09:02:09 PM) dkap: You would want the water to be still, so probably a plain silver bowl, or man-made pond, with the pumps turned off.
(09:02:37 PM) dkap: A crystal ball might work, but often the image are distorted due to the lensing effect. Really effective for those of little power to have it magnified, but ...
(09:02:40 PM) Cagliostro: the silver bowl sounds most reasonable
(09:03:15 PM) Cagliostro: filled with distilled water, presumably
(09:03:41 PM) dkap: Actually, probably water that you are going to spill ink into, so it's dark, not clear.
(09:03:49 PM) dkap: So shapes can form within, as the ink moves.
(09:04:22 PM) dkap: You've seen people do it with milk, instead of ink, but ... that usually gives you negative images, rather than positive ones, and identifying from silouette is always harder.
(09:05:00 PM) Cagliostro: sure
(09:05:23 PM) Cagliostro: pure water, ink, silver bowl, fragments of weapon, images of perpetrator
(09:05:25 PM) Cagliostro: that should work
(09:05:49 PM) dkap: That should, indeed work.
(09:06:11 PM) ***Spot peers at the stuff.
(09:06:26 PM) Spot: "Yick, silver."
(09:07:07 PM) Cagliostro: okay, I make with the scrying
(09:07:36 PM) dkap: And the wards?
(09:07:45 PM) dkap: What are you setting up for the honey-pot?
(09:08:13 PM) Cagliostro: whatever the usual is for the honeypot, which should not be near any population
(09:08:47 PM) Cagliostro: anti-scrying ward focused inward around the bowl (unless that would screw up the vision), ward around us who are viewing, second ward around the castle
(09:08:55 PM) Cagliostro: that second ward more of a detector than a blocker
(09:09:42 PM) dkap: Right.
(09:09:43 PM) Cagliostro: *second/ third
(09:10:08 PM) Cagliostro: this passes muster with Cagliostro's warfare?
(09:10:09 PM) dkap: Castle ward to include you?
(09:10:43 PM) Cagliostro: not sure what you mean - an area ward around the building with the vampires & werewovles that I'm scrying from
(09:11:45 PM) dkap: Right, any ward around the Serenity Shack, or the Dr. where most of the weaver's weavings end up?
(09:12:03 PM) Cagliostro: yeah, separate ward around them for the time being
(09:12:10 PM) Cagliostro: just because they have a tendency to get into trouble
(09:12:14 PM) dkap: Good good.
(09:12:39 PM) dkap: And, inside your ward, it darkens, the ink moves in the bowl, you see a shape, a dark, malevolent shape.
(09:13:53 PM) Cagliostro: okay
(09:14:02 PM) Cagliostro: can I work with that to figure out its location and nature?
(09:14:08 PM) Cagliostro: or establish a link for spellwork?
(09:14:21 PM) dkap: Not ... yet. It's moving too fast.
(09:14:55 PM) Cagliostro: hm.
(09:15:01 PM) Cagliostro: try to work on that
(09:15:13 PM) dkap: It's nature is to destroy.
(09:15:24 PM) dkap: It seems ... driven.
(09:15:49 PM) Cagliostro: compelled?
(09:15:50 PM) dkap: Almost ... mindless in it's path of destruction ...
(09:15:53 PM) Cagliostro: perhaps magically?
(09:16:05 PM) dkap: Almost entirely right-brained.
(09:16:07 PM) Cagliostro: or perhaps created?
(09:16:09 PM) dkap: If any thought.
(09:16:19 PM) dkap: It could be a construct, it could be geased magically, yes.
(09:16:34 PM) dkap: And it seems ... pushed.
(09:17:15 PM) Cagliostro: can I look for an active connection, and trace that back?
(09:17:28 PM) dkap: It seems self-contained.
(09:18:30 PM) Cagliostro: hm.
(09:18:38 PM) Cagliostro: can I find hooks to control it?
(09:18:42 PM) dkap: There is a definite signature, though.
(09:18:49 PM) Cagliostro: is the signature familiar?
(09:19:12 PM) Cagliostro: (Cagliostro is not so great with signatures, I think)
(09:19:16 PM) dkap: Whomever or whatever had a hand in it, didn't seem interested in steering or control, once it was unleashed.
(09:19:45 PM) dkap: The signature is not known to you.
(09:19:58 PM) Cagliostro: hm. fire and forget.
(09:20:50 PM) dkap: Very likely.
(09:21:21 PM) Cagliostro: knowing that it's a compelled construct, can I find an avenue to control it?
(09:21:38 PM) dkap: It might not be a construct.
(09:21:42 PM) dkap: Hard to tell.
(09:21:49 PM) dkap: It _is_ moving at over engine speed.
(09:22:57 PM) Cagliostro: next question: can I create a ward relative to it?
(09:23:09 PM) dkap: Not sure what you mean by that?
(09:23:25 PM) Cagliostro: like a 20' radius sphere of force centered on it
(09:23:40 PM) Cagliostro: trying to use the relativity of frames to avoid the moving target problem
(09:24:00 PM) Cagliostro: wrapping it in a fuzzy blanket it can't touch
(09:24:25 PM) Cagliostro: anchoring the ward somewhere will be a quick step two ;)
(09:24:51 PM) dkap: Since it is moving so fast, though, you do see the pattern seems already anchored around a geographic location.
(09:25:37 PM) dkap: It doesn't seem to stray more than about 10 miles from the place where Delna first came through.
(09:25:54 PM) Cagliostro: okay, interesting
(09:26:22 PM) dkap: Sorry, wrong scale. 100 miles, not 10 miles.
(09:26:26 PM) Cagliostro: k
(09:28:33 PM) dkap: And the more you watch, the more you see it constantly hitting the edge of that distance, and bouncing.
(09:28:38 PM) dkap: Bouncing hard.
(09:28:58 PM) Cagliostro: hm.
(09:29:07 PM) Cagliostro: can I tell what is keeping it anchored?
(09:29:29 PM) dkap: Nothing obvious seems to be either tethering it, nor does there seem to be a ward around that space.
(09:30:04 PM) dkap: It just tore through the wards in the castle, with no pause or hesitation.
(09:30:26 PM) dkap: And the wards didn't even twitch. If you weren't scrying it at the moment, you never would have known.
(09:30:39 PM) Cagliostro: huh.
(09:30:48 PM) Cagliostro: how much mystic inertia does it have?
(09:30:51 PM) dkap: But no new dismemberments.
(09:30:58 PM) dkap: Quite a bit.
(09:31:07 PM) Cagliostro: k.
(09:31:18 PM) Cagliostro: *ahem*
(09:31:22 PM) Cagliostro: "Hello, bodiless voice?"
(09:31:22 PM) dkap: As much as the locals to this promentory.
(09:31:36 PM) Cagliostro: k
(09:34:17 PM) Cagliostro: if no response: to Jean "Jean, could you pass a message to the bodiless voice that we have a strange violent interloper".
(09:34:21 PM) Cagliostro: and Jean will do so in the tree.
(09:36:52 PM) Cagliostro: Cagliostro will ask Jean to pass along that it seems to be centered around the end point of one of Dr. Eagleton's gates, and has primarily targeted the immigrants he asked me to find a home for.
(09:36:55 PM) Cagliostro: And Jean will do so.
(09:38:48 PM) dkap: Indeed. It does work that way. *grin*
(09:39:17 PM) dkap: And Ilk will pass it on to Norton, who will pass it on to Mouseferatu.
(09:39:33 PM) dkap: At Oldlord/Realmslord speed.
(09:39:34 PM) Cagliostro: actually, is there a hamster in the house?
(09:39:49 PM) dkap: Eric and Brand, I believe.
(09:40:02 PM) dkap: Eric came with you, Brand was on the Serenity.
(09:41:01 PM) Cagliostro: sure
(09:41:12 PM) Cagliostro: if they are around, I will fill them in and ask for advice
(09:42:09 PM) dkap: Brand is currently tormenting Mal. Eric is with your daughter.
(09:42:19 PM) dkap: Flip a coin? *grin*
(09:46:23 PM) Cagliostro: Eric and my daughter, then
(09:46:35 PM) Cagliostro: I'm interested in both of their opinions
(09:47:08 PM) dkap: Excellent.
(09:47:51 PM) dkap: Are you going to leave the scrying going, and send someone to bring them to you? Leave the scrying being babysat by someone else, and go to them? Shut down the scrying and do either of the other actions?
(09:49:38 PM) Cagliostro: leave the scrying, send someone else
(09:49:42 PM) Cagliostro: if they're far enough away, just open a gate
(09:50:26 PM) dkap: They aren't that far away, she just withdrew to the nearby town.
(09:50:49 PM) Cagliostro: that still seems worth a gate
(09:50:51 PM) Cagliostro: to save time
(09:50:51 PM) dkap: An Ifrit could get there and back in moments.
(09:51:08 PM) dkap: Shut down the scrying, or leave it up?
(09:51:54 PM) Cagliostro: leave it up
(09:51:58 PM) Cagliostro: and then send an ifrit
(09:52:08 PM) dkap: Anyone babysitting it while you are distracted?
(09:52:16 PM) Cagliostro: Ammon and Spot, presumably
(09:52:20 PM) dkap: Gotcha.
(09:52:31 PM) Delna [~chatzilla@c-71-228-78-177.hsd1.fl.comcast.net] entered the room.
(09:52:54 PM) Cagliostro: and someone gets to keep an eye on me, and on them
(09:53:03 PM) Cagliostro: probably the ifrit keeping an eye on us
(09:53:08 PM) Cagliostro: but standing in front of them
(09:53:11 PM) dkap: Spot, the sliver in the bowl doesn't have to be touched, but you and Ammon can maintain it.
(09:53:44 PM) Delna: (Ack, Sorry! When they were kidnapping me I had no idea things were going to take this long)
(09:53:46 PM) dkap: And see the patterns.
(09:53:56 PM) Cagliostro: (it happens)
(09:53:57 PM) dkap: You had a kidnapping? COOL!
(09:54:20 PM) dkap: How's the room-mate testing going?
(09:54:27 PM) dkap: Do they pass muster?
(09:55:08 PM) Delna: Yeah. All renn faire people who seem generally very cool and good for living with
(09:55:35 PM) Delna: Two are already friends, so more ideal by far then my current situation
(09:58:41 PM) dkap: Excellent!
(10:00:26 PM) dkap: So, Spot ...what are you doing with the scrying while the Count is distracted?
(10:00:42 PM) Spot: Observing.
(10:00:52 PM) Spot: But not touchng the bowl, that's icky.
(10:01:05 PM) Spot: He's not going to get good results, just saying.
(10:01:09 PM) ***Spot grins.
(10:11:01 PM) dkap: The Ifrit returns with your daughter and Eric.
(10:11:17 PM) ***Cagliostro explains the situation to them
(10:13:43 PM) Cagliostro: "I am reluctant to destroy it without learning who set it here, but I also do not want to leave it free to roam, but I seem unable to pen in it with wards."
(10:13:57 PM) Cagliostro: "And yet, it is already limited to this area somehow."
(10:15:17 PM) dkap: Eric doesn't seem really interested ... but your daughter is curious.
(10:15:26 PM) dkap: Janice: Does it have a period in it's movement?
(10:15:50 PM) Cagliostro: "Good question."
(10:15:59 PM) Cagliostro: gm: does it seem to have a pattern or period?
(10:16:14 PM) Cagliostro: do I need to alter the scrying focus to pick that out?
(10:17:50 PM) dkap: Nope, just mull over the data gathered to date.
(10:18:48 PM) ***Cagliostro mulls away.
(10:20:19 PM) Cagliostro: any patterns?
(10:20:45 PM) dkap: It seems to be moving at it's top speed.
(10:20:55 PM) Cagliostro: and bouncing
(10:21:17 PM) Cagliostro: can I estimate its top speed? subsonic, I presume?
(10:22:13 PM) dkap: Nope. Close to maximum speeds. It would tear someone apart at those speeds normally.
(10:22:30 PM) dkap: Although it doesn't seem to leap buildings.
(10:22:36 PM) Cagliostro: maximum speed = light speed?
(10:23:04 PM) Cagliostro: and if it's supersonic and not creating booms, that indicates either some dedicated prevention or immateriality?
(10:23:10 PM) Raziel left the room (quit: Read error: EOF from client).
(10:24:17 PM) dkap: Immateriality. It's also moving through the space that physical objects are, without a problem. It only tears through bodies, when it encounters them.
(10:24:29 PM) dkap: Physical objects are just passed through.
(10:25:05 PM) Cagliostro: aha
(10:25:13 PM) Cagliostro: hm.
(10:25:22 PM) Cagliostro: so what is 'maximum speed'?
(10:25:46 PM) dkap: Not quite light speed.
(10:26:19 PM) Cagliostro: hm.
(10:26:39 PM) Cagliostro: is it possible to create a container to bind it in?
(10:26:55 PM) Cagliostro: or a ward circle around the perimeter focused on containing it?
(10:27:05 PM) Cagliostro: I will consult with my daughter on this one.
(10:27:16 PM) Cagliostro: magical binding seems to be the way to go in order to bind an immaterial creature.
(10:28:48 PM) dkap: It blew through your wards without a ripple on either side.
(10:28:56 PM) dkap: Not even setting them off.
(10:29:20 PM) Cagliostro: right
(10:29:33 PM) Cagliostro: is there any way I can do something more tailored to it?
(10:29:40 PM) Cagliostro: or am I basically unable to affect it?
(10:30:26 PM) dkap: What are you going to try to effect it?
(10:30:43 PM) dkap: Knowing the space it's moving in, you can set up a bunch of tests, for it to encounter.
(10:30:48 PM) Cagliostro: well, do I have any experience binding immaterial entities?
(10:31:01 PM) Cagliostro: ghosts, demons, etc
(10:31:06 PM) Cagliostro: possessing spirits
(10:31:27 PM) Cagliostro: something like an inward-focused summoning pentagram
(10:31:33 PM) Cagliostro: so that a creature can enter it but not leave
(10:31:47 PM) Cagliostro: theoretically tailored to the creature's nature - but without its name, that is true
(10:32:13 PM) dkap: It would be hard.
(10:32:24 PM) dkap: But you could set up a trap like that, for it to encounter.
(10:32:28 PM) Cagliostro: but nothing else really seems possible
(10:32:34 PM) Cagliostro: unless anyone else has an idea
(10:32:43 PM) dkap: Spot, you are there, any suggestions?
(10:32:52 PM) Cagliostro: do Ammon or Spot have any idea if being immaterial has anything to do with the Umbra?
(10:33:19 PM) dkap: Ammon doesn't usually do bindings, he does unbindings.
(10:35:12 PM) Cagliostro: well, we don't want to unbind what's keeping it here
(10:35:23 PM) Cagliostro: but it might be good to unbind the destructive programming, if possible
(10:35:49 PM) dkap: Unbind, not uncrazy-ify.
(10:35:51 PM) Cagliostro: not something to experiment on a free-range slaughterhouse, though
(10:35:55 PM) Cagliostro: fair point.
(10:35:56 PM) Spot: sorry was making a sandwich
(10:35:56 PM) dkap: True.
(10:36:04 PM) dkap: Yum. Sammich.
(10:36:13 PM) Spot: I can do bindings
(10:38:34 PM) Spot: What do we need or want bound?
(10:38:53 PM) ***Cagliostro indicates the dark thing in the water
(10:39:12 PM) Cagliostro: "An immaterial spirit of descruction that causes the violent disassembly when it passes through the same space as a physical body."
(10:39:17 PM) ***Spot peers carefully into the water.
(10:39:24 PM) Spot: "Cool."
(10:39:33 PM) Cagliostro: "Oh, and it's traveling at the speedy of light, seems to be limited to about a hundred miles from this point, and really wants out."
(10:39:42 PM) Spot: "Sorta. No, cool."
(10:39:49 PM) Cagliostro: "It also seems to be mindless, or excessively single minded."
(10:40:07 PM) Spot: "Binding it or unbinding it?"
(10:41:51 PM) Cagliostro: "Binding, for now."
(10:42:13 PM) Cagliostro: "I would prefer not to participate in loosing a spirit of destruction upon the greater world. Bad form for a guest."
(10:42:43 PM) ***Spot hmmms.
(10:42:59 PM) Spot: "I need something to bind it into."
(10:43:55 PM) Cagliostro: "What would you like?"
(10:46:00 PM) Spot: "It needs to resonate, so something destructive-causing is best. But...containable. Like...a dagger or sword. Those are usually good for things like that."
(10:46:15 PM) Cagliostro: "Huh."
(10:46:30 PM) ***Cagliostro offers Spot a sword made of meteoric iron, or something similar.
(10:46:33 PM) Cagliostro: "Will this do?"
(10:46:40 PM) Cagliostro: (you saw cagliostro pick this one up.)
(10:46:44 PM) ***Spot looks it over.
(10:46:49 PM) Spot: GM: will it?
(10:47:02 PM) dkap: It was the one that came from the thing, it probably wouldn't work.
(10:48:20 PM) Spot: "I don't think so. I think it is part of it. Something else."
(10:48:30 PM) Cagliostro: "All right."
(10:48:49 PM) ***Cagliostro creates a darker twin blade out of thin air and hands it to Spot.
(10:48:53 PM) Cagliostro: "This one?"
(10:49:03 PM) Spot: "better."
(10:49:41 PM) dkap: It probably needs a bump in it's mystic inertia.
(10:50:16 PM) ***Cagliostro bumps
(10:50:22 PM) Cagliostro: as well as I can.
(10:50:55 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(10:51:49 PM) ***Spot looks at it again. "I'll give it a shot.....How good are those wards?"
(10:52:11 PM) Cagliostro: "Against the creature?"
(10:54:15 PM) ***Spot nods
(10:55:02 PM) Cagliostro: "Completely ineffective."
(10:56:09 PM) Spot: "Well that'll be more interesting."
(10:56:11 PM) ***Spot grins.
(10:57:32 PM) ***Cagliostro shrugs.
(10:58:00 PM) Spot: "Well, to bind it I need to summon it."
(10:58:09 PM) Spot: "Hence...the issue."
(10:59:20 PM) Cagliostro: "Well, I had been working on a summoning circle for it..."
(10:59:34 PM) Cagliostro: "So let me bind it to a place, then you can bind it into an object. Reasonable?"
(11:00:42 PM) dkap: Sounds like a plan.
(11:00:56 PM) dkap: How are you going to pull off your part?
(11:01:10 PM) Cagliostro: the hard way, apparently
(11:01:24 PM) Cagliostro: figure out a plan for a binding sigil, then put it out somewhere in its circuit
(11:01:25 PM) dkap: *grin*
(11:02:05 PM) dkap: It tears right through it, without a pause, without a ripple.
(11:03:16 PM) Cagliostro: hm.
(11:03:25 PM) Spot: "Perhaps we put the sigils on the sword. Carefully."
(11:03:37 PM) Cagliostro: ask Spot to bring me to the area in the Umbra, and see if I create similar wards in the Umbra if that will bind it in realspace.
(11:03:43 PM) Cagliostro: "That's an interesting plan."
(11:04:09 PM) ***Spot nods. "The Umbra may also work."
(11:04:14 PM) Spot: "Can't hurt."
(11:05:08 PM) Cagliostro: "Of course it can. But hopefully it won't."
(11:05:16 PM) dkap: Actually, the Umbra kept you from doing much magic at all ...
(11:05:23 PM) Cagliostro: Hm. True.
(11:05:29 PM) Cagliostro: but I can bring a can of paint.
(11:05:34 PM) Cagliostro: and paint the binding.
(11:05:39 PM) Cagliostro: it'll take longer, but it'll work.
(11:05:55 PM) dkap: True.
(11:07:43 PM) Spot: Well, Umbra with paint?
(11:07:57 PM) dkap: So, Into the Umbra with some paint. A good place to hang, yes?
(11:08:24 PM) Cagliostro: sure
(11:08:26 PM) dkap: Oh, and did you want to send an Ifrit to let Delna and Meiglan that they are safe?
(11:08:42 PM) Spot: Hanging here is fine
(11:10:21 PM) dkap: Good good.
(11:10:23 PM) Cagliostro: before going in, yes
(11:10:28 PM) Spot: since we're very very quiet
(11:10:31 PM) Spot: so night!
(11:10:37 PM) Spot left the room.
(11:10:46 PM) Cagliostro: and that they might want to find a place to hole up for the day sinc ethey're outside of the attack zone
(11:11:12 PM) dkap: Delna, you receive the Ifrit, in the Carosel.
(11:11:26 PM) Delna: Good good.
(11:12:12 PM) Delna: We get word that they are safe. Can the Ifrit tell me anything about a timeline of when the Count was going to come back for us?
(11:15:50 PM) dkap: Count?
(11:16:52 PM) dkap: I think he might have evaporated.
(11:16:57 PM) dkap: So, I'll call it a game.
(11:17:20 PM) Cagliostro: sorry, waiting for the ifrit confirmation
(11:17:53 PM) Cagliostro: the Ifrit will pass on the Count's apologetic message that the destructive spirit seems to be limited to a 100 mile radius around your entry point, and difficult to deal with
(11:18:16 PM) Cagliostro: so you and Meiglan will be watched over by the Ifrit when you slumber, but you should consider this area a potential relocation point for the vampires etc.
(11:18:53 PM) dkap: Delna?
(11:20:04 PM) Delna: Ok. Thanks. So on the morrow Delna will likely work with Meiglan to see what we could do about relocation here. And when next she sees the Count, will inquire more as to what they found.
(11:20:44 PM) dkap: There's got to be a shaggy dog story in there ... "Two vampires and an Ifrit walk into a carnival ..."
(11:21:16 PM) Cagliostro: Indeed.
(11:23:09 PM) Delna: haha, all we need is an all-you-can-eat buffet of tasty teens and a creepy organ player
(11:23:25 PM) dkap: Granted! Stay tuned, next week!
(11:23:31 PM) dkap: See you all then!
(11:23:37 PM) Delna: Night!
(11:24:00 PM) Delna left the room (quit: Read error: EOF from client).
