(08:15:51 PM) Cagliostro: hello, the gm
(08:15:55 PM) Cagliostro: feeling better this week?
(08:17:06 PM) dkap: I am. Although it's still a little rough. I'm on this med for at least a month, if not 3 months ...
(08:17:08 PM) dkap: *sigh*
(08:17:28 PM) Delna: ;(
(08:17:43 PM) Cagliostro: alas.
(08:17:44 PM) dkap: But it is helping my toe go back to normal, so, over-all a win.
(08:17:46 PM) Cagliostro: this, too, shall pass.
(08:17:48 PM) Cagliostro: as it were.
(08:17:54 PM) dkap: And pass, and pass ... *sigh*
(08:19:00 PM) dkap: Right then.
(08:21:33 PM) Cagliostro: Spot is inbound, once her current activity wraps up.
(08:22:38 PM) Cagliostro: so we have returned to the Serenity Shack
(08:23:10 PM) Cagliostro: current activities: 1) looking for trapped spirits and other assorted umbral weirdness
(08:23:14 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(08:23:27 PM) dkap: I just chatted with Spot and got caught up.
(08:24:39 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(08:25:17 PM) Meiglan [~chatzilla@c-24-34-135-66.hsd1.vt.comcast.net] entered the room.
(08:25:36 PM) Cagliostro: I can't recall what else is going on... let's see
(08:25:47 PM) Cagliostro: 1) was looking for trapped spirits and other umbral weirdness
(08:25:49 PM) dkap: How are we going to begin looking for those trapped spirits?
(08:25:52 PM) Cagliostro: there's 2), general acclimation
(08:25:55 PM) Cagliostro: we have the gorgon
(08:25:59 PM) Cagliostro: and ammon, and spot
(08:26:10 PM) Cagliostro: (acclimiation of the werewolves and vampires, that is)
(08:26:18 PM) dkap: Ammon is not currently available to us.
(08:26:19 PM) Cagliostro: 3) the serenity shack crew and their situation
(08:27:28 PM) Cagliostro: I can't recall other open hanging plot threads, other than the usual litany of things to keep up on.
(08:27:58 PM) Cagliostro: darkover, the drytowners, the ramp, the bedoin, the redhead psychic people, the faerie dragons...
(08:29:20 PM) dkap: That's quite a litiny.
(08:30:11 PM) Cagliostro: I don't recall which of those have happened at this point, but I suspect all of them. Not sure about about the faerie dragons.
(08:30:41 PM) Cagliostro: hm - it may be worth checking to see whether Serenity-level technology works outside of the inner world
(08:30:56 PM) Cagliostro: that would be pretty easy to test with a gate and one of the less emotionally fragile members of the crew....
(08:30:58 PM) Cagliostro: probably river.
(08:32:31 PM) dkap: River has disappeared, and you know it doesn't work, otherwise Inara's shuttle would have landed, instead of falling out of the sky.
(08:32:53 PM) Cagliostro: well, I know that they fell out of the sky -here-
(08:33:07 PM) Cagliostro: oh, wait, but I don't know that the laws of physics differ
(08:33:17 PM) Cagliostro: because no one's told me yet about the gunpowder thing
(08:34:02 PM) Cagliostro: so never mind.
(08:34:09 PM) Cagliostro: so the gorgon is I presume available?
(08:34:23 PM) dkap: The gorgon is here
(08:35:18 PM) dkap: Also, Inara's shuttle crashed outside your walls, in the desert.
(08:35:50 PM) Cagliostro: that is true about Inara's shuttle, I had forgotten
(08:35:57 PM) Cagliostro: so shall we road trip through the local umbra?
(08:36:05 PM) Cagliostro: or would the gorgon be more comfortable scouting on her own?
(08:37:58 PM) dkap: She would prefer company, especially since she is unaware of the local terrain.
(08:38:04 PM) Cagliostro: as are we.
(08:38:20 PM) Cagliostro: So Spot would be necessary to provide transportation, but I presume he will be willing (handwave handwave)
(08:38:33 PM) Cagliostro: is there any sort of research or preparatory activity anyone recommends?
(08:38:37 PM) Cagliostro: and who else wants to come along?
(08:41:19 PM) dkap: Meiglan? Delna
(08:42:37 PM) Meiglan: I do I do.
(08:42:44 PM) Delna: I will join
(08:43:15 PM) dkap: Excellent, then Ethyl the ardvaark went ... oh wait ... wrong book.
(08:43:42 PM) caelin [~arkhonii@m460536d0.tmodns.net] entered the room.
(08:43:53 PM) Cagliostro: indeed.
(08:44:02 PM) Cagliostro: speaking of Ethyl the ardvaark.
(08:44:12 PM) dkap: Yes?
(08:44:25 PM) caelin left the room (quit: Quit: AndroidIrc Disconnecting).
(08:44:33 PM) dkap: Caelin does not sound lie Cerubus.
(08:45:22 PM) Cagliostro: apparently not.
(08:45:35 PM) Cagliostro: so is there something that people want to accomplish pre-Spot?
(08:45:49 PM) Cagliostro: I would probably bring along a couple of Ifrit mages, if possible
(08:45:57 PM) Cagliostro: and perhaps check in with Jodo and my daughter first
(08:46:35 PM) Delna: I would like to check in at the castle to see how things are fairing there
(08:47:47 PM) dkap: Right ... up the castle.
(08:49:27 PM) dkap: A large, imposing structure is before you. To the west is a road into town. To the east is the edge of a forest, to the north is the castle, to the south is the road to the Serenity Shack.
(08:50:20 PM) dkap: Sorry, don't know what is coming over me tonight, just an odd sense of humor I think.
(08:50:45 PM) dkap: The castle, many of the vamps are milling about, hungry, and not knowing if Mr. Slice and Dice is coming back.
(08:50:57 PM) dkap: All with their octagons on, looking everywhere they all can.
(08:54:07 PM) Cagliostro: a little paranoia is probably not misplaced
(08:54:28 PM) dkap: With this group? Not at all.
(08:56:06 PM) Delna: I will call them together to give them the news that we have taken care of the spirit causing the trouble. What happened to the vampires that we healed? Were they still with the doctor?
(08:56:39 PM) dkap: You brought them back.
(08:58:52 PM) dkap: But, that still doesn't solve the hunger problem.
(09:02:35 PM) Cagliostro: are there not enough volunteers?
(09:02:41 PM) Cagliostro: or are they just really low on fuel?
(09:03:35 PM) Delna: No. After telling them the news of the spirit I will pass out portions of blood to everyone using the chalice, pouring into cups and other things to be found as we have done before.
(09:05:15 PM) dkap: Indeed. Were there a blood fountain, there would be more feeding possible, but less control in Delna's hands ...
(09:05:36 PM) Delna: Also, I believe we had done a meeting of some sort to go over rules for feeding on the volunteers so that they did not have to remain reliant on one chalice. Did that get pushed back before because of the spirit attacks?
(09:05:51 PM) dkap: It did.
(09:09:01 PM) Delna: Ok. I also need to make sure this meeting happens and would like to talk with my advisors and see about arrangements when I am not around.
(09:10:28 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(09:10:51 PM) StormLord [~chatzilla@pool-98-110-171-21.bstnma.fios.verizon.net] entered the room.
(09:11:14 PM) StormLord: Boogah! Oooga-boogah! Brbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrblah....
(09:11:37 PM) dkap: From what I recall, you put it off, so that the locals were not pulled into possible slice and dice.
(09:11:47 PM) dkap: Stormy, you found us ... good good.
(09:13:13 PM) StormLord: Green things, and solicitors.
(09:14:47 PM) Delna: Yes. So, now that the threats have been taken care of and those who could be repaired, repaired, we should continue to acclimate to this new place.
(09:15:30 PM) dkap: They all listen and agree. One asks if he can keep the octagon.
(09:17:16 PM) dkap: They want to know the procedure for this. Are they going to go to the village, or are the appropriate villagers going to come here?
(09:19:26 PM) Cagliostro: rut roh, stormy...
(09:19:59 PM) dkap: Don't worry, he doesn't have _nearly_ as much bad-stuff as Caelin.
(09:20:14 PM) StormLord: Oh, it gets MUCH worse, Cagliostro... I believe I'll be playing your daughter.
(09:20:50 PM) StormLord: Though I suppose you get a veto, much as I'd expect one were someone playing one of my children.
(09:20:51 PM) dkap: And there isn't a "with" in there.
(09:21:27 PM) Cagliostro: that's a matter for her original PC ;)
(09:21:33 PM) Cagliostro: or player, that is.
(09:22:01 PM) dkap: That's already taken care of.
(09:22:02 PM) Cagliostro: if we've lost the player, the character is fair game
(09:22:03 PM) StormLord: Wait, there was a previous PC? I thought she'd been an NPC.
(09:22:05 PM) Cagliostro: excellent, then
(09:22:15 PM) StormLord: It is? I... oh.
(09:22:19 PM) Cagliostro: you run risks introducing your players to each other ;)
(09:22:43 PM) dkap: I do. Well ... small risks. They do tend to get along like a barn on fire.
(09:22:47 PM) dkap: Typing of which ...
(09:22:50 PM) Delna: Was this something that my advisors were able to work out with the volunteers before during our prep?
(09:22:54 PM) Cagliostro: castle... barn...
(09:23:04 PM) dkap: Exactly. You know me well.
(09:23:22 PM) Delna: or that we were informed of when we were meeting the volunteers?
(09:23:35 PM) dkap: The Mayor had said that people were going to visit the Castle, and that got called off at Slice and Dice warning.
(09:24:41 PM) dkap: So, I guess the next step is to get back in contact with the Burgermeister?
(09:25:32 PM) Cagliostro: Probably so - if Cagliostro needs to, he will, but I think Delna has the proper contact info etc
(09:26:16 PM) Delna: Indeed. I will pass on the information that I have about the volunteers coming to the castle. And when the meeting is over will deal with the Burgemeister
(09:26:44 PM) Delna: I do have contact info, but as I recall, the Burgemeister had some distinct problems with our furry friends who are still around
(09:27:38 PM) dkap: Well ... besides the allergies to them? And his distrust of them, and knowing that being their meals was definitely not on the table?
(09:28:04 PM) dkap: Oh, and there is a phone in the castle (well ... several of them) and you, Delna do have his card, which has his phone number on it.
(09:28:26 PM) dkap: And, no, before anyone asks, it is _not_ like ordering take-out.
(09:32:30 PM) Delna: I distinctly remember him having a full on, uncontrollable panic over them. I will contact him though, and talk to spot about keeping his pack out of sight for a time if the Burgemeister has to visit.
(09:33:28 PM) dkap: Yes, he's personally scared (and allergic) to dogs, wolves, jackals, et al. (and possibly R.O.U.S.es as well.)
(09:34:09 PM) Delna: heh
(09:36:03 PM) dkap: But if you call him on the phone, he doesn't have to deal, in the slightest ...
(09:39:54 PM) Delna: Good good. I will let him know what is going on and see about setting up the details for the volunteer visits
(09:40:59 PM) dkap: Good good. That goes well.
(09:42:23 PM) dkap: The first visit will be in a couple of hours. A few of the girls want to come together, because, well ... young girls like doing things in a gaggle.
(09:42:41 PM) dkap: There will also be a chaperon.
(09:43:46 PM) dkap: One of the girls mothers, you see.
(09:46:27 PM) Delna: Good good. I would like to be there as well. In addition I want one of my advisors to be a chaperone from our side when I can not be there and would like this person to be there with me.
(09:46:44 PM) dkap: Excellent. It is arranged, then.
(09:47:47 PM) Delna: Wonderful. How does the first feeding go?
(09:49:38 PM) dkap: Well ... the mother hits on every vampire she sees who she thinks is cute, the girls are all dressed in black, and being all goth about it, and no one oversteps the line.
(09:51:24 PM) Delna: ...strange about the mother, but ok. If no one oversteps, I consider it a success.
(09:52:06 PM) dkap: Good good.
(09:52:37 PM) dkap: Maybe she's shopping for her own fantasies about tall, dark strangers sweeping her away from her mundane and humdrum life.
(09:52:57 PM) Delna: I would like to work something out with my advisors so that there is someone in charge to make decisions when I am not around. I would also like to talk to Spot when I can to see about arrangements between the garou and vampires since Mr. Slash is no longer mutilating people.
(09:53:12 PM) Delna: probably
(09:53:16 PM) dkap: Indeed, but we need spot here for that.
(09:54:07 PM) dkap: So, into the Exploration stage? Stormy, do you want to have a conversation or two with the Count, so you can get a feel for Mistress Janice?
(09:55:08 PM) StormLord: I've actually been trying to catch up on the logs.
(09:55:43 PM) StormLord: I haven't even seen Janice yet, but there's quite a bit to go.
(09:56:24 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(09:56:58 PM) StormLord: Zo I vill pass for now, if dat's okay.
(09:57:07 PM) dkap: Hai.
(09:57:17 PM) Cagliostro: have you gotten to the part where we fought Oberon for three games before recognizing him? Good times.
(09:57:41 PM) StormLord: I guess not. I'm still trying to decipher terms like Spam Gerard and Hamster Finndo...
(09:58:19 PM) dkap: Well ... Hamster Finndo is Finndo, from the Hamsterites.
(09:58:22 PM) Cagliostro: Spam Gerard is Norton's fault, doubly over
(09:58:27 PM) Meiglan left the room (quit: Ping timeout).
(09:58:28 PM) Cagliostro: do you know the Hamsterites?
(09:58:50 PM) StormLord: No idea. And we lost someone?
(09:59:05 PM) dkap: And Spam Gerard is a patch-job done, because, well, they needed something for Gerard to actually grow him back into with his endurance, but couldn't deal without him, at the moment.
(09:59:06 PM) Cagliostro: there was a period where no one wanted to be king of amber
(09:59:20 PM) dkap: We did, Meiglan has ping-timed out.
(09:59:33 PM) Cagliostro: like, more than normal. and Evil Benedict was in charge - technically the only living thing in Castle Amber, having killed everything else down to the molecule.
(09:59:54 PM) Cagliostro: So the person in charge of Amber - de jure but not de facto - was the heir to the regent to the regent
(10:00:19 PM) Cagliostro: Celeste's daughter Faythe, because Malachi was appointed regent and then appointed Celeste as a regent for him
(10:00:42 PM) Cagliostro: Everyone else turned down the job. Faythe had never been to Amber. Didn't know any Amberites. She was from Darkover.
(10:00:50 PM) Cagliostro: So Jean explained the history of Amber to her
(10:00:56 PM) Cagliostro: using little hamsters dressed up as Amberites
(10:01:06 PM) StormLord: *cackles*
(10:01:17 PM) Cagliostro: ... in front of Rainbow and Snarsht
(10:01:30 PM) Cagliostro: (one was at the prep area, the other was where Faythe was. I forget which.)
(10:01:46 PM) Cagliostro: Both of them knew the Amberites, and both of them are really powerful, and both thought it was -really- funny.
(10:01:51 PM) Delna: I have to log off for a bit to relocate. Will be back
(10:01:59 PM) Cagliostro: k, see you in a bit, Delna
(10:02:03 PM) Delna left the room (quit: Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86 [Firefox 3.6.4/20100611143157]).
(10:02:03 PM) Cagliostro: so - to vamp and fill time
(10:02:24 PM) Cagliostro: Rainbow and Snarsht bumped up the hamsters, made them sentient and fairly real
(10:02:35 PM) dkap: And Suhuy and Shiru, and Dworkin ... in fact.
(10:02:36 PM) StormLord: I.. ummm... I created both Rainbow and Snarsht, so I know. I built a lot of this setting, apparently... which makes it all the more wierd.
(10:02:43 PM) Cagliostro: they were all created at the same time, and had the story of Amber acted out, and Jean had them fake die like little Shakespearean hamsters
(10:02:58 PM) Cagliostro: that is true, I had forgotten about that.
(10:03:07 PM) Cagliostro: yes.
(10:03:18 PM) Cagliostro: so, as part of it, Jean asked Dworkin for a Jewel of Judgement for the play
(10:03:31 PM) Cagliostro: and Dworkin, being batshit insane, made a hamster-sized Jewel using mathematics
(10:03:52 PM) Cagliostro: and eventually drew a hamster-scale pattern in an alternate pattern-free Amber
(10:04:13 PM) Cagliostro: and since Jean and Ilkandacian raised them, the Hamsterites are emotionally functional.
(10:04:13 PM) StormLord: Why not?
(10:04:26 PM) Cagliostro: and the frightening thing is, they're scarily competent.
(10:04:35 PM) Cagliostro: Hamster Oberon briefly captured Ingold and used him for a mount.
(10:04:50 PM) Cagliostro: that was when we retook Amber - Caelin and I couldn't make it past Oberon's traps to get to Evil Benedict's traps.
(10:04:53 PM) StormLord: I read Breed to Come, I'm not surprised.
(10:04:59 PM) Cagliostro: We hit an anti-Bleys trap no one had hit in centuries.
(10:05:11 PM) Cagliostro: fortunately not like that. as far as we know.
(10:05:28 PM) Cagliostro: Both Jean and Caelin have warfare below Human rank.
(10:05:42 PM) Cagliostro: Caelin is one rank below (geek), Jean is at least two ranks below (five-year-old)
(10:05:49 PM) StormLord: Below? Oh, I see...
(10:06:14 PM) Cagliostro: although there are exceptions there, naturally.
(10:06:53 PM) dkap: Indeed. Of course, there was the moment where one of the amberites came roaring up, asked who was in charge, and everyone pointed to Hamster Gerard.
(10:07:24 PM) Cagliostro: Spam Gerard: waaaaay back when I joined the game, Amber was being defended by Chaosians
(10:07:39 PM) Cagliostro: there was a race that swam through rock attacking through Garnath, so Norton turned some of the mountains to spam
(10:07:44 PM) Cagliostro: sealing off their entry point
(10:07:46 PM) StormLord: *cackles s'more* Had I known there were around, I might have asked to play one of the hamsters.
(10:08:12 PM) Cagliostro: much later, we recovered Gerard's soul and finger, and Norton needed a receptacle for the body
(10:08:24 PM) Cagliostro: so he sculpted one out of the now-pattern-laced spam, as a convenient organic material.
(10:08:33 PM) dkap: Who was casually attempted to be stepped on, instead, the hamsterite picked up the amberite and threw him from Kolvir to Arden. He came back, and said "Right, you are in charge."
(10:08:59 PM) Cagliostro: Gerard _just_ healed from that before he charged the Black Council (evil dragon serpents), and got pasted again
(10:09:04 PM) Cagliostro: so he got rerebuilt out of spam
(10:09:12 PM) Cagliostro: and disqualified from the line of succession for dying too often
(10:09:20 PM) Cagliostro: dkap: that was local benedict
(10:09:46 PM) Cagliostro: Evil Benedict, by the way, was from that period of time where there were cracks in reality and people falling into parallel universes
(10:09:56 PM) Cagliostro: thanks to Hamster Dworkin and Dworkinetics, he's now Misunderstood Benedict
(10:10:05 PM) Cagliostro: and a pacifist.
(10:10:22 PM) Cagliostro: I figure the Hamsterites are fair game too. ;)
(10:10:25 PM) StormLord: Dworkinetics?
(10:10:43 PM) dkap: At least, he wasn't hillbilly Benedict.
(10:11:26 PM) Cagliostro: it may not surprise you, but this game is responsible for most of, if not all, of the google hits for that term. ;)
(10:11:38 PM) Cagliostro: gm: though Evil Benedict was using Evil Titania as a mount, possibly in that way.
(10:11:45 PM) Cagliostro: And he was also using the Logrus hammered into a sword.
(10:12:09 PM) StormLord: Poor abused li'l Logrus.
(10:12:57 PM) dkap: Indeed, thankfully it wasn't local logrus.
(10:14:44 PM) dkap: For a while, we even edged out the actual "Houseplants of Gor" for google-hits.
(10:14:44 PM) Cagliostro: Dworkinetics is essentially the philosophy of not being a jerk
(10:14:52 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(10:14:56 PM) Cagliostro: thanks to Faythe?
(10:15:29 PM) dkap: Nope, Hamster Dworkin, and his amazing Jewel of Judgement.
(10:15:35 PM) Cagliostro: Hamster Dworkin was able to to convince Evil Benedict not to be a jerk by standing up to everything he could throw at him and still being nice to him
(10:15:38 PM) Cagliostro: I mean, Houseplants wise
(10:15:53 PM) Cagliostro: (Hamster Dworkin cheated madly by stepping behind a hamster jewel of judgement)
(10:16:17 PM) Cagliostro: Norton stuck the Hamster jewel in his eye once as a joke - he became perfectly sane and realized that he's just stuck a Jewel of Judgement in his eye. Traumatic.
(10:16:41 PM) dkap: And several other things, including remembering his Rebellion.
(10:16:44 PM) Cagliostro: all the Hamsterites are around. We did have to replace Hamster Mirele after she found the pattern the first time. Mireles seem to have a problem with patterns.
(10:16:46 PM) Cagliostro: indeed.
(10:16:46 PM) dkap: Not a good thing.
(10:17:03 PM) dkap: I don't remember _why_ houseplants came up so high, I just remember that it did.
(10:17:31 PM) dkap: She _is_ the one who discovered one had to walk it upright, as opposed to on all four paws.
(10:17:39 PM) dkap: So everyone else could walk it, as well.
(10:18:02 PM) StormLord: Actual Amber Pattern?
(10:18:27 PM) StormLord: Isn't it the size of three football fields? How long does it take a hamster to walk it?
(10:18:43 PM) dkap: Nope, the Hamsterite pattern, which later needed to be destroyed to help Dworkin regain his sanity.
(10:18:56 PM) Cagliostro: the Hamster pattern is proportional to a hamster
(10:19:02 PM) dkap: The Amber pattern had ... other problems. Like the speed-bump.
(10:19:03 PM) StormLord: Ah, hokay.
(10:20:23 PM) Cagliostro: the Pattern pattern is 150 yards long and 100 yards wide at its narrow middle
(10:20:41 PM) Cagliostro: anyway.
(10:20:51 PM) Cagliostro: yes, it turns out that the Pattern itself was what was driving Dworkin insane
(10:20:54 PM) Cagliostro: which we found out accidentally
(10:20:56 PM) Spot [~chatzilla@c-71-233-163-142.hsd1.ma.comcast.net] entered the room.
(10:21:07 PM) Spot is now known as Auricle
(10:21:08 PM) Cagliostro: so all the Amber patterns were destroyed.
(10:21:18 PM) Cagliostro: King Eric II drew a new pattern, but died during the aftermath.
(10:21:23 PM) Auricle: Sorry, war took FOREVER
(10:21:32 PM) StormLord: *wavels*
(10:22:04 PM) dkap: It's war, it happens.
(10:22:06 PM) dkap: *grin*
(10:22:29 PM) Cagliostro: we try to fail to mention what happened to the Tir Pattern around Auricle ;)
(10:22:31 PM) dkap: Delna wanted to discuss something with you, Spot, directly, but she stepped out for the moment ...
(10:22:42 PM) dkap: Indeed. It would be bad.
(10:22:52 PM) dkap: Auricle, typing of which, is the new patter master.
(10:23:28 PM) Cagliostro: I think Hamster Eric and Hamster Brand are still puttering around Darkover somewhere
(10:23:48 PM) dkap: They are.
(10:23:53 PM) Cagliostro: Hamster Brand was with the Serenity crew, and Hamster Eric was in charge of resettling Norton's children
(10:23:55 PM) Auricle: Actually most patterns around me behave....oddly. Because they loooooove me. But Tir loves me bestest.
(10:23:59 PM) dkap: Hamster Eric is currently with Mistress Janice, in fact.
(10:24:06 PM) Cagliostro: so they're definitely available if you wanted them.
(10:24:08 PM) Cagliostro: (loved)
(10:24:29 PM) Auricle: (It's not gone!! I'll get it back! If I ever get to be me again....)
(10:24:58 PM) StormLord: And on that note... I'm going to make some soup. Back in a few...
(10:25:11 PM) Delna [~chatzilla@pool-71-180-11-166.tampfl.fios.verizon.net] entered the room.
(10:25:27 PM) Auricle is now known as Spot
(10:25:54 PM) Cagliostro: so, Spot - the plan is to get together a troop to troop around the Umbra, looking for trapped spirits and mysteries.
(10:25:57 PM) Cagliostro: We should get a van.
(10:26:07 PM) Cagliostro: Anyway, Delna is trying to sort out some transition stuff before we go.
(10:26:14 PM) Cagliostro: (And I should get an ascot.)
(10:26:42 PM) dkap: Does the gorgon get to be the Smith girl?
(10:28:02 PM) dkap: But, Delna, Spot, you had things to discuss?
(10:28:36 PM) Spot: We are NOT calling me Scooby
(10:30:08 PM) Spot: Did we solve what was making me all wonky two weeks ago?
(10:30:21 PM) dkap: Not even for TWO scooby snacks? (What the hell were those things, hemp-crackers or something?)
(10:30:39 PM) Spot: I seem to recall a problem with dreaming and waking and slashing at things
(10:31:26 PM) Delna: I wanted to talk to Spot about what happens now that our adversary has been caught. Does our alliance still stand?
(10:32:17 PM) Cagliostro: oh, right
(10:32:21 PM) Cagliostro: we have that thing in a bubble
(10:32:25 PM) Cagliostro: I totally should have put that on our list
(10:32:28 PM) Cagliostro: of unresolved items
(10:32:48 PM) Delna: true
(10:33:57 PM) Spot: ah so it wasn't solved
(10:34:34 PM) Cagliostro: we found a spark jumping from body to body
(10:34:39 PM) Cagliostro: screwing people up, when they were aleep
(10:34:42 PM) Cagliostro: so I popped it in a ward
(10:34:46 PM) Cagliostro: but all we know is that it's a spark
(10:35:08 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(10:35:29 PM) Cagliostro: and from the Umbra, it doesn't seem to be anywhere in particular
(10:35:45 PM) Spot: So I'm better? Okay
(10:36:03 PM) Cagliostro: the peopel it jumped on are somewhat larger than they were in the real world, but Cagliostro isn't familiar enough to know whether that matters
(10:36:59 PM) dkap: It is contained for the moment, yes.
(10:37:34 PM) Spot: "So you're wondering about the alliance between us, pretty?"
(10:39:05 PM) Cagliostro: I guess the spark is in time-out.
(10:40:27 PM) dkap: Indeed, it is. In ward at the moment.
(10:41:06 PM) dkap: Delna, I believe Spot's last was to you?
(10:42:13 PM) Delna: (Sorry, I have not had much sleep lately, so dozing out a bit)
(10:42:33 PM) Spot: (oh sorry)
(10:42:34 PM) Delna: "Yes. Where does that stand?"
(10:42:57 PM) StormLord: *returns, stealthily*
(10:43:31 PM) Spot: "Well I'm not sure I really see a need to get rid of it. It seems to be working, and there seem to be other potential threats."
(10:43:43 PM) dkap: (Stealthly, stealthy, stealth-l-y, thank you Tom Lerher)
(10:46:11 PM) StormLord: Spark, as in Girl Genius spark? Or electrical spark? Or something else again?
(10:46:25 PM) dkap: Something else, all-together.
(10:46:53 PM) StormLord: Hokay
(10:47:16 PM) dkap: If folks are falling-over tired, we _are_ only 10 minutes shy of game-call. We can call it here ...
(10:47:37 PM) Spot: Sorry next week I won't have war on tuesday
(10:47:42 PM) dkap: And if people want to hang out, and chat, that works as well.
(10:47:58 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(10:47:59 PM) StormLord: What sort of war?
(10:49:24 PM) Spot: Star Pirates
(10:49:46 PM) Cagliostro: spark as in some sort of electrical-looking spark jumping from person to person, making them all angsty and/or homicidal
(10:50:28 PM) Delna: In response to Spot, "I agree and would like to see the alliance continued so long as it continues to work as it has."
(10:50:45 PM) Spot: "I'm good with that. Seems to be okay."
(10:52:07 PM) Delna: "Good. Then we should prepare for our journeys."
(10:53:05 PM) Delna: "We should let our people know of this before we venture out though"
(10:53:17 PM) Spot: "Agreed."
(10:54:52 PM) dkap: Each of you inform your appropriate groups, Delna, via subordinate, Spot in the casual way he has ...
(10:56:18 PM) Delna: Cool
(10:56:25 PM) Delna: Sleeps then?
(10:56:33 PM) Spot: sleeps then
(10:56:49 PM) dkap: Right then. It's a game!
(10:57:00 PM) Cagliostro: excellent.
(10:57:02 PM) dkap: See you all, next bat time, next wolf chanel.
(10:57:08 PM) Spot: aroooo!
(10:57:12 PM) Spot left the room.
(10:57:13 PM) Cagliostro left the room (quit: Quit: Leaving.).
(10:57:53 PM) StormLord: Sleep well!
(10:58:36 PM) Delna: thanks. night
(10:58:39 PM) Delna left the room (quit: Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86 [Firefox 3.6.6/20100625231939]).
(10:59:00 PM) StormLord: I have a LOT of reading to do.
(10:59:30 PM) dkap: You do.
(10:59:51 PM) StormLord: What's the usual timeslot for this game?
(11:00:25 PM) dkap: 8-11.
(11:00:32 PM) dkap: Tuesdays.
(11:00:43 PM) StormLord: Gotcha. I knew Tuesdays, but I'd thought it started earlier.
(11:00:59 PM) dkap: Nope, I don't necessarily get home until 8.
(11:01:09 PM) dkap: And a 3 hour game run seems about right.
(11:02:38 PM) StormLord: Gotcha.
(11:05:11 PM) StormLord: Okay, do I just kill this window, or is there some 'formal' way I'm supposed to turn this off?
(11:09:32 PM) dkap: Well ... you could simply /quit, or /part the particular conversation.
(11:09:53 PM) dkap: But, regardless, the log has now been posted.
(11:09:56 PM) StormLord: What does /part do?
(11:10:05 PM) dkap: It's the opposite of /join
(11:10:18 PM) StormLord: Ahh, I see. Hokay.
(11:10:22 PM) StormLord left the room (quit: Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86 [Firefox 3.6.6/20100625231939]).

(08:25:40 PM) mode (+o dkap) by ChanServ
(08:25:47 PM) dkap: Finally.
(08:25:55 PM) dkap: Sorry about that, folks.a
(08:26:18 PM) dkap: My profile got lost, so I couldn't find all my keys.
(08:26:25 PM) dkap: That's now been restored from backup.
(08:26:27 PM) Spot: hihi dkap
(08:26:34 PM) dkap: Hihi.
(08:26:44 PM) dkap: I know Delna needed to duck out.
(08:27:57 PM) Cagliostro: hellos
(08:28:06 PM) Delna: Back!
(08:28:15 PM) Delna: Good, still at the hello's
(08:28:22 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(08:28:23 PM) dkap: *grin*
(08:28:27 PM) dkap: How's that for timing.
(08:28:44 PM) Delna: :D
(08:29:05 PM) dkap: Right, when last we left ...
(08:29:34 PM) dkap: We were going to become the Scoobie-Gang?
(08:30:40 PM) Spot: Apparently
(08:31:40 PM) dkap: Right ... what was the ordering of the business?
(08:35:03 PM) Meiglan [~chatzilla@c-24-34-135-66.hsd1.vt.comcast.net] entered the room.
(08:35:20 PM) dkap: And that's a full house! Woot!
(08:36:03 PM) Meiglan: Not a Royal Flush?
(08:36:04 PM) Delna: Hmm, well I suppose we were gathering things for the trip, but what do we need to gather?
(08:36:15 PM) dkap: No shit, there we were, starting out into the umbra. A Medusa to the left of me, a Count to the right of me, a Spot in front, and two vamps in the rear?
(08:36:39 PM) Spot: Arooooooo
(08:36:47 PM) dkap: Are any Ifrit coming with?
(08:37:10 PM) dkap: And any special equipment being brought along? I mean, beyond the Count's ascot?
(08:41:08 PM) Cagliostro: I don't think so
(08:41:13 PM) Cagliostro: a sword or two
(08:41:36 PM) dkap: The vibrating one?
(08:41:54 PM) Cagliostro: sure, safer than leaving it away from Spot
(08:42:17 PM) Spot: Yeah I don't think we want it out of sight
(08:43:03 PM) dkap: The spark in the ward?
(08:43:38 PM) Cagliostro: can I anchor that such that it will survive me losing magic?
(08:44:42 PM) dkap: Indeed you can. You don't need to keep powering it.
(08:44:46 PM) Cagliostro: excellent.
(08:45:01 PM) Cagliostro: so I'll leave it there to think about what it's done.
(08:46:28 PM) dkap: Excellent.
(08:46:55 PM) dkap: Anything else? Food? Drink? A 10 foot pole? 100
(08:46:58 PM) dkap: feet of rope?
(08:48:19 PM) Cagliostro: perhaps drink.
(08:48:32 PM) Cagliostro: otherwise, we should be fine.
(08:49:14 PM) dkap: Remember, it's really hard to conjure in the Umbra.
(08:50:29 PM) Cagliostro: yes, true.
(08:50:43 PM) Cagliostro: but it's also not an environment that seems rope-friendly.
(08:51:31 PM) Cagliostro: so a few thermoses of a bracing tea should probably suffice for a few hours.
(08:51:38 PM) Cagliostro: and we'll see what happens.
(08:52:42 PM) dkap: Right then.
(08:52:49 PM) dkap: Off we go?
(08:53:11 PM) Delna: I will need to bring my own food
Meiglan meiglan
Meiglan meiglan
(08:53:46 PM) dkap: Meiglan, anything special for you?
(08:53:57 PM) Delna: I suppose I will take the cup since no one else can use it. I also want to see if there is a way I can be in touch with someone from the castle while I am away..in case anything goes terribly awry what with the new feeding rules..
(08:54:05 PM) dkap: Spot? Some spare limbs "donated" to gnaw on?
(08:54:34 PM) Spot: I'm a woof, I can actually hunt in the Umbra and stuff, if needed.
(08:54:49 PM) dkap: Hard to keep in touch across the umbra ...but maybe some radios, for check-in when you pop out, perhaps?
(08:55:25 PM) Cagliostro: radios would be prudent in case we were separated.
(08:55:38 PM) Cagliostro: smallish but with reasonable range.
(08:55:52 PM) Cagliostro: and a radio left with someone at the castle so Delna can check in and vice versa
(08:55:53 PM) Delna: I would like to do that. I want to leave one with whoever ended up being in charge while I am gone.
(08:56:11 PM) Delna: Indeed. That would make me feel a little better.
(08:56:55 PM) Delna: I also want to give one to the mayor of the town, just in case if that is possible
(08:57:18 PM) Cagliostro: certainly. he already has one, so it can be set up with a compatible frequency.
(08:57:28 PM) Delna: wonderful
(08:57:34 PM) Cagliostro: Delna, you should explicitly delegate someone to be in charge
(08:57:35 PM) Meiglan: (sorry, was pulled away by Spawnicus Rex) As Delna pointed out a food source would be most beneficial. The cup can do that for us, right? When used by Delna?
(08:57:42 PM) Cagliostro: but not someone you have any great affection for.
(08:59:14 PM) Delna: I had mentioned setting up a hierarchy before I left last game I believe. Why the latter Count, dare I ask?
(09:00:26 PM) Cagliostro: "There may be some jockeying for position with you gone."
(09:03:08 PM) Cagliostro: so shall we go, errands made, radios created?
(09:03:14 PM) Delna: "I imagine so."
(09:03:23 PM) dkap: Into the Breach, once more.
(09:03:43 PM) Spot: Yay!
(09:04:07 PM) dkap: Spot ferries folks through ...
(09:04:16 PM) dkap: Any particular order?
(09:04:22 PM) dkap: And how many Ifrit?
(09:04:44 PM) Cagliostro: just two, I think.
(09:04:47 PM) Cagliostro: we have a fair crowd.
(09:04:50 PM) Cagliostro: ordering is up to Spot.
(09:05:00 PM) Cagliostro: the gorgon can make her own way, I presume?
(09:05:53 PM) Spot: Count and Delna, Ifrit and Meiglan, Ifrit and Gorgon?
(09:06:36 PM) Cagliostro: sure.
(09:10:04 PM) Cagliostro: "So, how does one find trapped spirits or interesting places in the Umbra?"
(09:11:07 PM) Delna: "Well, does your lens give us anything interesting to follow?"
(09:11:59 PM) Spot: "Well there are LOTS of interesting places in the Umbra."
(09:12:45 PM) Spot: "There's the various Tribe lands... there's bridges... there's all sorts of small pockets that are whole little worlds...the dreaming..."
(09:13:12 PM) dkap: When Spot says "The Dreaming" there is a slight ripple in the fabric of the umbra.
(09:13:32 PM) Spot: "And...it seems interested in us..."
(09:13:59 PM) Cagliostro left the room (quit: Ping timeout).
(09:16:20 PM) dkap: A brownout or blackout has befallen the Count.
(09:16:47 PM) dkap: In his place is a felt creature, with the illusion that there is no arm coming out where feet are expected.
(09:16:48 PM) Meiglan: *Is that a good thing?" About the Umbra being interested in us, not about loosing the Count.
(09:18:02 PM) Spot: "Well, the Dreaming is the Fae....Hard to say with them, really. Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad, sometimes its books in the rain."
(09:29:47 PM) Meiglan: "Great." Well, let's hope they're feeling nice today.
(09:32:50 PM) StormLord [~chatzilla@pool-98-110-171-21.bstnma.fios.verizon.net] entered the room.
(09:33:07 PM) StormLord is now known as Mistress_Janice
(09:34:15 PM) Spot: "I'm not sure 'nice' is really in their vocabulary."
(09:35:59 PM) dkap: Apparently Mistress_Janice is joining the trip as well. *grin*
(09:36:02 PM) Mistress_Janice: Sorry I'm late, all. DDO invite much earlier in the day went for hours for a four-quest series. Just got out a few minutes ago.
(09:36:56 PM) Mistress_Janice: Wait, I am? I... I... will try. I *still* don't know this char well. But it turns out Mikail's in Shiryu's possession as a grey sphere, and Beau was murdered, so...
(09:37:40 PM) Spot: Well apparently you are either going to be Fred or Shaggy, then.
(09:37:50 PM) Spot: Since we've already got Daphne and Velma.
(09:37:59 PM) Mistress_Janice: Even Stormy's gone, apparently.
(09:38:06 PM) dkap: I thing the Count was going to be Fred.
(09:38:16 PM) Spot: Ah, then Janice is Shaggy.
(09:38:24 PM) Spot: We did need a fifth.
(09:38:38 PM) Mistress_Janice: Janice doesn't strike me as the sort to play along easily with this charade... but perhaps I am mistaken?
(09:39:58 PM) Meiglan left the room (quit: Read error: Connection reset by peer).
(09:41:30 PM) Spot: Hmmmm perhaps the Velma or Daphne position is open after all
(09:41:48 PM) dkap: Mistress Janice is ... well ... somewhat tolerant of the humor of the Shadows, especially since she is currently trying to adopt her father's view.
(09:48:57 PM) Meiglan [~chatzilla@c-24-34-135-66.hsd1.vt.comcast.net] entered the room.
(09:50:42 PM) dkap: I'm catching Mistress_Janice up.
(09:51:36 PM) Mistress_Janice: My name is M. Janice, Amberite - I own a Library and a Yacht.
(09:52:07 PM) Cagliostro [~sgorton@c-66-31-32-142.hsd1.ma.comcast.net] entered the room.
(09:52:42 PM) Cagliostro: and hello again, I have left the 19th century.
(09:52:58 PM) Spot: yay
(09:52:59 PM) dkap: Excellent.
(09:53:25 PM) dkap: I understand they make backup batteries for much, but not, apparently, net-connect devices?
(09:56:57 PM) Cagliostro: apparently not.
(09:57:23 PM) Cagliostro: seems a waste of backup battery to use it for the wireless & cable modem
(09:57:42 PM) Cagliostro: (not that it helped my computer.)
(09:58:25 PM) Meiglan left the room (quit: Ping timeout).
(09:58:31 PM) dkap: Oh? But then you could have continued to be on-line when the power dropped.
(09:58:46 PM) dkap: As long as your upstream didn't drop.
(09:59:22 PM) dkap: It was fun, during the rolling blackouts a few summers ago (when Niagra went down) to watch, from Pennsic, where the power-outages had hit, by who when offline when.
(10:00:25 PM) dkap: We were all on generated power/battery and sat-uplink to begin with, so the medievalists were online when no one else around even had power.
(10:00:55 PM) Cagliostro: sure, until my UPS ran out of juice that much sooner. And my upstream often drops.
(10:01:06 PM) Cagliostro: so, game?
(10:02:31 PM) dkap: Right, I've been catching your daughter up, vamping for your return.
(10:03:08 PM) Cagliostro: k
(10:03:23 PM) Cagliostro: is she coming with us into the Umbra?
(10:04:54 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(10:05:02 PM) Cagliostro: excellent.
(10:05:06 PM) Cagliostro: Any hamsters tagging along?
(10:06:13 PM) dkap: I think Eric will go along for the ride, he's taken a shine to her.
(10:07:15 PM) Cagliostro: that works
(10:08:04 PM) Meiglan [~chatzilla@c-24-34-135-66.hsd1.vt.comcast.net] entered the room.
(10:12:14 PM) Cagliostro: so are we in the Umbra, moving around?
(10:12:19 PM) Cagliostro: or still preparing to enter?
(10:13:41 PM) dkap: In the Umbra.
(10:14:30 PM) Cagliostro: k.
(10:14:35 PM) dkap: And talking about the Dreaming.
(10:14:39 PM) Cagliostro: gotcha.
(10:15:27 PM) Spot: and watching people appear and disappear
(10:17:36 PM) dkap: Indeed.
(10:17:46 PM) dkap: But, here in the Umbra, talking about the Dreaming.
(10:18:15 PM) dkap: (As I've pulled out my N.G. source matereal.)
(10:19:25 PM) Cagliostro: people?
(10:20:30 PM) Spot: "So since the Dreaming seems interested in us, we should either avoid it, go to it, or....perhaps baseball is in order."
(10:21:55 PM) dkap: Baseball?
(10:23:06 PM) Delna: "Is there a way to go to it..or avoid it? I wouldn't assume the Dreaming has a static place here.."
(10:23:54 PM) dkap: One never knows ... *grin* Oh, wait, that's not known in game ...
(10:25:06 PM) ***Spot scratches his neck. "Welllll....sometimes you can get to it, sometimes you can't?"
(10:28:29 PM) Cagliostro: "If the Dreaming is interested in us, then we should determine why."
(10:28:55 PM) Cagliostro: "There are fey dragons who have journed from another world to this, and that I am responsible for checking in on from time to time, to ensure they are behaving."
(10:29:39 PM) dkap: Perhaps ... that might be a good place to start.
(10:30:43 PM) Delna: "Sounds like a start. How do we get to them?"
(10:31:01 PM) Cagliostro: dkap: could I scry the dragons, were I out of the umbra?
(10:31:57 PM) dkap: You could.
(10:32:07 PM) Cagliostro: "We start by moving further away."
(10:32:12 PM) dkap: Or you could just go to where the nearest was set up, by you, by gate, were you out of the umbra.
(10:32:40 PM) ***Spot looks around. "Which direction?"
(10:32:57 PM) Cagliostr1 [~sgorton@c-66-31-32-142.hsd1.ma.comcast.net] entered the room.
(10:34:08 PM) Delna left the room (quit: Ping timeout).
(10:35:07 PM) Cagliostro left the room (quit: Ping timeout).
(10:35:40 PM) Cagliostr1 is now known as Cagliostro
(10:38:37 PM) Delna [~chatzilla@c-71-228-89-86.hsd1.fl.comcast.net] entered the room.
(10:38:48 PM) dkap: Are we having real connection problems?
(10:38:51 PM) dkap: Am I next?
(10:39:00 PM) Delna: Aarrg, Vista failure
(10:39:11 PM) Spot: I'm still here!
(10:39:15 PM) Cagliostro: that seems redundant.
(10:39:20 PM) Cagliostro: and that seems like a challenge ;)
(10:42:48 PM) Mistress_Janice: I, on the other hand, am only barely here.
(10:44:58 PM) dkap: Vista? As in the Buena Vista hotel? That had such a major part in one of the Poirot stories?
(10:47:27 PM) Cagliostro: (game, run)
(10:48:03 PM) Cagliostro: so Spot brings us back out of the Umbra?
(10:48:04 PM) dkap: Right, out of Umrbra, and gate? Scry? Or travel through the Umbra first?
(10:48:38 PM) Spot: Up to the people who know where the Fey dragons are
(10:49:14 PM) Cagliostro: out, scry, then gate if it looks approximately safe
(10:50:49 PM) dkap: It is safe the Dragons are frollicking in the sand.
(10:51:00 PM) dkap: The dunes are free of any but the dragons and the mice.
(10:51:11 PM) Cagliostro: then we shall gate there and greet them
(10:51:14 PM) Spot: So through the gate?
(10:52:23 PM) Delna: through the gate
(10:52:53 PM) Cagliostro: indeed. through the gates and onto the dunes, to the faerie dragon's playhouse we go.
(10:53:09 PM) Cagliostro: and I shall greet them, and give them shiny toys, and ask them about themselves
(10:53:12 PM) dkap: They play in the sand, and chase the mice.
(10:53:27 PM) ***Spot wants to chase mice.
(10:53:35 PM) dkap: They all greet you, and invite you to play with them, in their little kingdom, so far from home.
(10:53:42 PM) Cagliostro: (I hope Eric is not offended)
(10:53:46 PM) Spot: Yay!
(10:53:47 PM) dkap: They welcome you to chase the mice as well.
(10:53:50 PM) ***Spot chases mice.
(10:54:14 PM) dkap: The mice get chased, until they are caught, then they turn into dragons, and say it's your turn.
(10:54:27 PM) ***Cagliostro is enlightened.
(10:54:29 PM) dkap: Eric is not insulted for some reason.
(10:54:32 PM) Mistress_Janice: Run, game, run. See the game run.
(10:54:58 PM) ***Spot turns into a wolf -- with bat wings -- and runs so they can chase.
(10:56:17 PM) Mistress_Janice: Cagliostro, if you could stick around afterward, I have many questions yet. And one for now - what does Janice call you?
(10:56:20 PM) Cagliostro: after the game resolves the other way, I will tell them that the Dreaming - a faerie world - seems to be trying to get in touch with us. And I have come to consut with the experts.
(10:56:31 PM) dkap: They chase, in kind.
(10:57:40 PM) dkap: They hunker down in a circle and start a dragon's cry. In the undulation of their combined voices, there is another ...
(10:57:49 PM) dkap: Voice: "Who seeks?"
(10:58:02 PM) Meiglan left the room (quit: Read error: Connection reset by peer).
(11:00:05 PM) Cagliostro: Mistress Janice - sure. Her address is a bit unclear in the logs and my memory. I recall both "Count" and "Father", but I don't think there was a standard form. Some depended on Janice's whim as to whether to out herself as family to any particular group, but she usually did.
(11:00:50 PM) Mistress_Janice: Gotcha. Carry on.
(11:00:57 PM) Meiglan [~chatzilla@c-24-34-135-66.hsd1.vt.comcast.net] entered the room.
(11:01:12 PM) Mistress_Janice: *staples Meiglan down*
(11:01:13 PM) dkap: Voice: "Who seeks?"
(11:01:56 PM) Cagliostro: (She did spend some time, perhaps a century, figuring out a way to bypass Cagliostro's defenses against her that he did not set. Caused some issues.)
(11:03:30 PM) Mistress_Janice: ...
(11:09:17 PM) Delna left the room (quit: Ping timeout).
(11:09:44 PM) dkap: Shall we hang at the voice from their calls to the sky saying "Who seeks?"
(11:10:51 PM) Meiglan: (sounds good, it's time for me to take myself and my sore booted butt to bed)
(11:11:36 PM) Cagliostro: sure
(11:11:59 PM) Cagliostro: that sounds plausible.
(11:12:06 PM) dkap: It's a good place to start, anyway. Spot got to romp with the dragons.
(11:14:06 PM) Spot: yay
(11:14:10 PM) dkap: I declare game.
(11:14:12 PM) Spot: I played with dragons
(11:14:18 PM) dkap: Indeed, you did.
(11:14:39 PM) Spot: all right see you next week
(11:14:43 PM) Meiglan: Night all
(11:14:48 PM) Mistress_Janice: Take care!
(11:14:51 PM) Spot left the room.
(11:15:46 PM) Delna [~chatzilla@c-71-228-89-86.hsd1.fl.comcast.net] entered the room.
(11:15:53 PM) Delna: rarr again
(11:16:32 PM) dkap: Delna, we are hanging. The Count and his daughter are going to chat for a bit, though ...
(11:16:53 PM) Mistress_Janice: Which we are doing, other-window-wise.
(11:17:19 PM) Delna: awesome. Thanks! And good night
(11:17:42 PM) Mistress_Janice: Sleep well!
(11:18:04 PM) Meiglan left the room (quit: Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86 [Firefox 3.5.2/20090729225027]).
(11:18:36 PM) dkap: Excellent. Then I'll save the game-log.
(11:21:32 PM) Delna left the room (quit: Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86 [Firefox 3.5.10/20100504093643]).
(11:32:52 PM) Cagliostro: dkap, you still around?
(11:33:16 PM) Cagliostro: we can just start here.
(11:33:25 PM) dkap: I am.
(11:35:44 PM) Mistress_Janice: He's passed me a link to the shadow's write-up. We've been going over history a bit.
(11:36:05 PM) dkap: Good good.
(11:36:13 PM) Cagliostro: so the Archives is the equivalent of the British Museum, or at least the bottom floor?
(11:36:22 PM) Cagliostro: it's certainly the central heraldic repository for the world
