(08:32:22 PM) Cagliostro: said kaboom was not nearly as earthshattering as the one from the army in greater arden
(08:32:56 PM) Cagliostro: we followed the rescuee back to rest and eat, since you were worn out from shadow tracking
(08:33:08 PM) Cagliostro: they were a family that guarded Julian's armor as a hereditary trust.
(08:33:17 PM) Cagliostro: all things considered, they took it well when we told him he was dead.
(08:33:26 PM) Mistress_Janice: ...Doesn't Julian usually guard his armor, by wearing it?
(08:33:34 PM) Cagliostro: apparently he's been playing with math
(08:33:45 PM) Cagliostro: not that Cagliostro is familiar with math. Not sure about Janice.
(08:33:53 PM) Cagliostro: he has multiple sets of armor, each one of which is the only one.

(08:34:17 PM) Cagliostro: it has also been frobbed to kill anyone not-Julian who tries to wear it.

(08:34:56 PM) dkap: Not as real as Dalk, but on the order of that reality.
(08:35:10 PM) Cagliostro: We trumped Zach to ask him about the armor, and he was sorely pressed by enemies so he came through
(08:36:18 PM) Cagliostro: talked to the family, was quite shocked in a good way to find -anyone- who thought highly of Julian and was sorrowful to see him dead, and is leading the group, including the woodswoman, who is coming with us to tell him what she knows of the old tales of Julian
(08:36:30 PM) Cagliostro: the armor was left there, more or less untouched.
(08:36:54 PM) Cagliostro: we were just gating from that place to the Greater Arden battle site at the end of last game.

(08:38:02 PM) dkap: Well ... since the trail-breaker was killed, in front of you, yes.
(08:38:04 PM) Cagliostro: the first trail ended at the scout who blew himself up
(08:38:12 PM) Cagliostro: the second trail crossed the army's path and is unfollowed

(10:12:45 PM) Cagliostro: The Jagermonsters are creatures of Auricle, and are loyal to her. Auricle is a friend and ally of Zach, and also other things, which Cagliostro does not fully understand.
(10:13:10 PM) Cagliostro: they are both organic and construct, are very attached to their hats, and are credible fighters.

(11:00:32 PM) dkap: Acid triggered, so there isn't even much noise of warning, or mechanical things to go wrong.
(11:00:33 PM) Cagliostro: disassemble the trap, after checking for traps related to disassembling
(11:00:42 PM) Mistress_Janice: How many went off before we got here?
(11:00:43 PM) dkap: No traps related to the dissassembling.
(11:01:06 PM) dkap: Yours was the first.
(11:01:52 PM) Mistress_Janice: So, if we'd followed this path immediately, we might've missed this.

(11:03:09 PM) Mistress_Janice: Does the trail lead to it/through it? Did the one we're chasing set this?

(11:05:35 PM) Elisabella: We should proceed with caution, but quickly: if this was set hastily, our prey may not have had time to leave us any other gifts
(11:06:04 PM) ***Mistress_Janice notes that they came through a while ago, while we pursued, rather literally, other ends.

(11:07:58 PM) dkap: They are just ... outward layers ready to launch, not literally shells.

(11:11:40 PM) dkap: So, you are traveling further along ... Elisabella, the terrain is ... changing in subtle ways.

(11:12:05 PM) dkap: When you look back or forward, it's not the same as it was, but ... you didn't notice anything as abrupt as the magical gate you were just introduced to.
(11:12:30 PM) Elisabella: Do I recognize any of the flora? Is it natural?
(11:12:49 PM) Elisabella: I suppose the bettert question is, is it in any way unnatural?
(11:14:33 PM) dkap: It is ... somewhat different from what you know, but it doesn't look out of place in it's environment.
(11:14:46 PM) dkap: It's just that that environment is ... different than it was 10 paces back.
(11:15:47 PM) Elisabella: "Stay alert, this forest is playing tricks... We could easily get lost in here"
