[6:08 PM] GM: So ... what caused you to trust him so much?
[6:09 PM] Chumley Metrodora: Something about the bird.
[6:09 PM] Chumley Metrodora: The fact that he is a contractor for Drae did not hurt this process either.
[6:10 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Come on Chumley, its Cedrick's beard isn't it? Its incredibly trust-worthy.

[6:11 PM] Chumley Metrodora: But I think it was the bird.
[6:14 PM] GM: Kiara who are you riding with, and are you reporting anything up-chain?
[6:16 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Cedrick and Chumley are in 1 Jeep - Is the rest of Drae's team and the roofied victims in the others?
[6:18 PM] GM: The two captives are each in one vehicle with each team, separately. Both easier to control, and also less chance that, if there is a hit, it won't take out both elements of the cargo.
[6:19 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Hops in the other jeep and keeps a close eye on the cargo.
[6:20 PM] GM: You can pick one of them, there are three vehicles. Each team has their own, secondary bug-out path, right, Drae?
[6:20 PM] Chumley Metrodora: If memory serves we showed up in 2 jeeps, and Cedrick's makes 3.
[6:21 PM] Chumley Metrodora: I jumped in with Cedrick when we suddenly had additional cargo.
[6:21 PM] Chumley Metrodora: The plan was for 1, we got 2.
[6:21 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Yes I was splitting the party, always a good idea.
[6:22 PM] GM: Right, that matches my memory as well.
[6:25 PM] GM: So, Kiara, are you with Alpha or Bravo?
[6:26 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Bravo, I think that the team I made blush.
[6:26 PM] GM: Nope, that was Delta. Who was admiring your ... skill with your lips.

[6:33 PM] GM: Meanwhile, somewhere across the expanse of time ...
[6:33 PM] GM: Drae, you get an update that James checked in with Operations, and gave the plane's tail number, and the fact that they are in desert conditions.
[6:33 PM] GM: Also your operative (I seem to have lost her name) and her companion, the hireling, that James bundled in with him, into the cargo hold checked in with you, to let you know they got ... wherever they were going safely, and that Martin was greeted and escorted out by some local military folks, and no one else got off the plane.
[6:33 PM] GM: And it is possible that the plane developed some "technical difficulties" along the way, since, almost immediately after landing there were several gun-shots heard by them.
[6:35 PM] GM: Anything you want to share with her, or have her fill in more, before she signs off?
[6:41 PM] Drae Blitzen: I give her the skinny on what is in play, ask her to follow current instructions, and to stay in touch when they can.
[6:42 PM] GM: She does indicate that backup might be nice, once they know where they are.
[6:43 PM] Drae Blitzen: Don't worry; it will be ready the moment we know where it needs to go.
[6:44 PM] GM: Especially with people possibly being shot, indiscriminately, and this was supposed to be a covert mission, not a full-load-out mission.
[6:51 PM] GM: Millie (so Kiara hears) gets a message from his "person at the base" saying that there is a local military presence meeting a diplomatic plane, and ... it might be wise if the teams let them clear first, before doing anything on site.
[6:51 PM] GM: Drae, since you are also on the command-channel, you hear the message as well.
[6:52 PM] GM: As does Chumley.
[6:53 PM] Chumley Metrodora: I signal to the cars to ease back when we get close to the base.
[6:53 PM] Chumley Metrodora: Is there any hint WHO this diplomat might be?
[6:53 PM] Chumley Metrodora: Are they interesting to us, as someone to talk to?
[6:54 PM] GM: You only have the mention that it is of interest to the local military.
[6:54 PM] Chumley Metrodora: When we get close, lets be stealthy, and see WHO this person might be.
[6:54 PM] Chumley Metrodora: Presumably we will just wait.
[6:55 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Messages Chumley and Drae over the comms: Do we want to get close and observe? Is there any possibility this is a target we need to eliminate?
[6:56 PM] Chumley Metrodora: That is kind of what I just said, lets get close enough to ID the person, and make a decision at that time.
[6:57 PM] Chumley Metrodora: I am sure we have a suitable scope with one, or both of the teams.
[6:58 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Messages back: I cant imagine why we might have similar patterns of observation and elimination.

[7:00 PM] Chumley Metrodora: Who has the needed scope to see our politician as distance?

[7:01 PM] GM: Well, between the binoculars that Cedrick has, and your various rifle scopes, you should be able to get a clear look.
[7:02 PM] Chumley Metrodora: And between Alpha and Bravo, who would be the better choice should this turn out to be a capture or kill mission?
[7:03 PM] GM: Whomever is closer at the moment?
[7:03 PM] Chumley Metrodora: I assumed the 3 Jeeps are traveling together.
[7:04 PM] GM: But, if they have a military escort, and that military is attacked, especially local military, at a UN base ... that might be bad, yes?
[7:04 PM] Chumley Metrodora: Yes, but first things first, we have to know who it is.
[7:05 PM] Chumley Metrodora: On the command channel: can Alpha watch both of our packages for a bit? I want to take Bravo, and see who we have here.

[7:28 PM] GM: First of all, there is a perimeter outside the airport, giving a nice field of fire between the airport and the perimeter. It's facing outward, not inward.
[7:28 PM] GM: Second of all, for a busy airport (like it was when you landed) there is very little moving around inside, that is visible.
[7:29 PM] GM: Lip reading those being turned away from the airport, it is currently locked down, due to a national emergency.
[7:30 PM] GM: No details on what that national emergency might be though.
[7:31 PM] Chumley Metrodora: Can we tell from uniforms where the escort for this person(s) are from?

[8:11 PM] GM: There is a set of troops tuning everyone away approaching legitimately, and patrols taking care of the rest of the approach.
[8:12 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Are there gaps in the patrol schedules at all?
[8:13 PM] GM: You could probably ghost one or two of you across, if you needed to. But it would be tricky for anyone not used to a sneak, and it is not a good way to move the whole group.
[8:15 PM] Chumley Metrodora: Was there any word on the plane? Any marking, tail numbers, etc? Hints as to who might be there?
[8:17 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Speaks in the comms: I'm going to sneak in and see what information I can dig up.

[8:18 PM] GM: No information out of your contact inside, as to why there was military lock-down, no.
[8:18 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Number 1 Objective: Don't get caught. Number 2 Object: going to insert myself into this party.
[8:19 PM] GM: Kiara, your sneak succeeds, you are past the patrol and on the grounds. There is a second patrol inside, keeping everyone in place.
[8:20 PM] GM: They are following the same pattern internally as they are externally, with an extra set of rovers, so slightly more challenging, but, within your skills to avoid.
[8:22 PM] GM: The hangar they are protecting contains three complete planes, and several large parts of other planes.
[8:23 PM] GM: A number of folks tending to the plane are in MOPP gear though. Which, given your recent ... issues, stands out like a red flag to a bull.
[8:24 PM] GM: And they are loading, rather than unloading ... whatever it is that they are working with.
[8:25 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: During all of this I have pulled out my scope camera to document what I am seeing.
[8:26 PM] GM: Also, your memory provides the fact that one of the tail numbers now matches the tail numbers on the plane you folks flew here in.
[8:26 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Looking at all of these clues, does Kiara believe this to be another repeat of the plane from Prague?
[8:28 PM] GM: Maybe not a repeat, but possibly a variation on the theme.
[8:30 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Have I seen anyone that isn't in MOPP gear or uniforms?
[8:31 PM] Kiara Umbrielle: Did we expect to return on the same plane we flew in on?
[8:31 PM] GM: Yes. But the plane in here that has the tail numbers from your plane is not the same plane as your plane.
[8:31 PM] Drae Blitzen: This is all getting conveyed, correct?
[8:31 PM] GM: Yes, there are those not in MOPP gear, but they are the guards, and outside folk. Everyone in the hangar are in MOPP gear.

[8:32 PM] GM: So, yes, the command center Drae is in is getting all of this.

[8:43 PM] GM: They are loading crates, rather than the cylinders that (while you never saw them) were reported on your plane.
[8:44 PM] GM: The crates seem heavy from the way they are being handled, but not overly fragile.

[8:45 PM] GM: From maps, known sources, satellite pictures, and Kiara's camera, there is a fairly good 3d model being sent around now, by Jenny.

[9:22 PM] GM: There is the distant sound of a plane, overhead, and then, like presents from the sky god, there are six in the air, Horrorshow overrides, and switches the sniper targets to anyone aiming upward.

[9:23 PM] GM: Three shots later, Epsilon is on the ground, 5 people and a large duffle full of spare MOPP gear.
[9:24 PM] GM: Unfortunately the shots have gotten the local militia stirred up, so Millie re-tasks again, and gives the go on the fuel trucks.
[9:25 PM] GM: On his "go" all the trucks blow, simultaneously.
[9:25 PM] GM: The snipers then decamp, and change position, so they might not be tracked backward.
[9:26 PM] GM: Now everyone is stirred up like a stampede at a slaughter house.
[9:27 PM] GM: Yes, Chumley, they even managed a set of MOPP in your size.
[9:27 PM] Drae Blitzen: To all Units, Blitz is in command. all orders from the mountain from here on in.
[9:27 PM] Drae Blitzen: Bravo takes point, Alpha makes noise, and Epsilon solves problems. The goal is containment.

[9:29 PM] GM: Epsilon (following Karma) melts into the airfield (being already in their MOPP gear before dropping).

[9:54 PM] GM: The person in MOPP gear that you believe is Epsilon-2, is currently sitting on someone, who is strapped with explosives, and seems to have acquired two broken arms, in your medical opinion. The other three people are being covered by a gun in either hand, but seem skittish.
